Concept training coves a range of advanced clicker training disciplines that is based on cognitive learning teaching your dog to generalise.
Concept Training Examples:
- Matching to Sample
- Modifier Cues
Your dog will enhance their cognitive skills which is great mental stimulation. This is a suitable discipline for dogs that cannot undertake sport that involve a lot of movement, and for dogs that need to learn to do more static work.
*NEW* CONCEPT TRAINING
Training walks provide an opportunity to work on lead skills, attention and socialisation
Prerequisites: Training walks are exclusively available to current Pooch Paws clients
Vaccinations: Your dog needs to be up to date with vaccinations
Age: Any age can join in as long as they are dog to dog friendly.
Equipment: Clicker, tasty treats, flat normal lead (no flexi leads), normal buckle collar, harness if you wish, wearing suitable walking attire according to the weather.
Number of dogs: Maximum of five per walk
Frequency: Once per month on Saturday afternoons, moving to Sunday mornings during shooting season.
Location: Locations vary, participants are informed prior to the walk

Pooch Paws provides educational talks for veterinary professionals to cover continuing professional development. These normally take place within the veterinary practice and cover a range of topics.

FIRST AID TALKS
PREREQUISITES: YOUR DOG MUST BE DOG FRIENDLY. All dogs need to be over 6 months old
- Tasty selection of treats
- Small dog bed
- Water bowl
- Drink for yourself
- Poo bags
- A small firm surface (something like a coaster or place mat)
- A small plastic bowl/container (big enough for your dog’s nose to fit in but not a dog bowl)
FUN & TRICKS
Want to learn something fun, for you and your dog, this is for you.
You will receive:
- 12 weeks access to an exclusive Facebook members group
- Digital copies of training instructions
- Ongoing discounts if you continue training*
- The opportunity to submit for tricks titles
- The opportunity to progress to more complex tricks
Amount of dogs: Maximum of 6 per class
Cost: £60 each course

NEXT SESSION: TO BE ESTABLISHED
Sessions are tailored to your needs either one to one training, or behaviour bookable in 1 hour slots.
Training can cover anything you need help with from recall, retrieving or lead skills (For example).
Behaviour can be SPECIFIC (dog to dog related issues), EXTENSIVE (more complex behaviour issues or multiple behaviour issues), or you can choose to have a Behaviour Adjustment Training (BAT) session. Get in touch if you would like to discuss the options, or let us know on the booking form.
SESSION COSTS: £65 per hour (includes a travel fee). Specific Pack: £50. Behaviour Assessment & Report: £80
ONE TO ONE TRAINING SESSIONS: Please book one session unless you have dog’s that you wish to work separately for an hour each.
SPECIFIC BEHAVIOUR: Please book one session, if it is your first session you also need to add on a modification pack.
EXTENSIVE BEHAVIOUR: Please book two sessions, if it is your first session you also need to add on an assessment which includes a written report. This priced is based on TWO dogs per household.
The above sessions are offered as a home visit but you must live within 30 minutes of The Pawvoy Dog Hotel. If you are outside this area you will need to arrange to attend at The Pawvoy Dog Hotel.
CLICKER GUNDOG: A group session is planned for 6pm for a maximum of 6 dogs. The class will last approximately 1.5 hours at a cost of £15 per dog and handler. Arrival is 5.45pm for 6pm start, gates will be closed, please arrive promptly. Dogs must be dog-

MATCH TO SAMPLE BEGINNERS WORKSHOP
You will learn an advanced concept training exercise and how to build a chain of behaviours including indication and stationing. By the end of the workshop you will achieve while understanding the elements needed to match to sample and how to continue to progress it.
This is a great exercise to undertake to enhance your training skills and knowledge.
